RESEARCH PROVEN

​REDUCE WET GRAIN 

With some of the wettest growing conditions on record one year, Microbial Catalyst was put to the test at harvest. A research trial conducted in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota determined that the addition of Microbial Catalyst showed higher yield and test weight, and reduced grain moisture for lower drying costs over the check.

Results showed: 

  • Microbial Catalyst increased yield by 11.1 bu/acre

  • Microbial Catalyst corn was on average 3.5 lbs./bu heavier and 2.5% dryer

  • Economic return was $74.65 when taking into consideration yield, drying cost and product cost

PREVENT STALK LODGING 

Straight line winds in Pipestone, Minnesota took a toll on the majority of crops one year. But field evaluations showed that Microbial Catalyst treated crops were better able to withstand high wind stress and lodged significantly less than control plants.

 

Similar structural consistency shows up in soybeans as more uniform plant development across the field.

PREVENT GREEN SNAP 

A 104-mph wind event in Glenham, South Dakota took out most of the crops. However, corn treated with Microbial Catalyst showed only 10-15% green snap damage versus control crops showing 40-60% damage. Yield results that year showed Microbial Catalyst had a +17 bu/acre advantage over control.

Microbial Catalyst treated crops showed less ear drop with stronger shanks that are bigger in diameter and less likely to weaken. Helping you waste less at harvest and get more ears in the combine.

There was a year when the last rain in this region came on May 15. The first crop picture was taken after 90 days with no rain. The second picture was taken the day after it rained. Yield totals of this crop showed Microbial Catalyst treated crops in this field maintained better performance, increasing yield by +24.79 bu/acre.
